Does anyone know where I can find new (replacement) decals for an Aladdin M-1942 and a Coleman 520? Thanks.
http://oldtownyucca.websitetoolbox.com/register Hello there...I am not being lazy but if you wander through the threads on this coleman forum,(above) you will get lucky. I have seen someone there that does replacement decals.
I thought I saw a guy who I think is from Ohio who makes/has these stickers. I know that's not much info to go on but does anyone have a website or phone number for this guy?
Give gaspressuredecals an email. His name is Bill and he seems to be a great guy. I'm ordering some kampkook decals and he was "johnny on the spot" with the response. If you can get an image of the correct decal, he can probably make them up for you but I'd check with him first. I need a 111T lid decal and he said he could probably make it, but needs an image. I guess I will try to find one somewhere? Anyone have a nice 111T decal that they could take a pic of? Take care and have a good evening. Dan
hi Dan i'll take a better one tomorrow when i can use daylight instead of on camera flash if you send me your email i can send it as a decent size image. if you can get some made up give me a shout as i'd like a dozen depending on price and quality
I havent read the entire thread but I can wip up the artwork for that if you need it. I was going to get some professionally printed but its too expensive, the right chrome stock is quite hard to find too. I havent looked very hard though. I've already done artwork for 8R sticker it wouldn't take long to do the 111 sticker, just need dimensions for it in mm. Would be ideal if ccs could sell them and all proceeds go to maintaining the site.
OK everyone, after hours of googling I found the link I was talking about. http://www.mikenchell.com/images/Fred_Kuntz_Catalog.pdf This guy has the decal for a Coleman 520 as well as many many others. Has anyone ever heard of him? Maybe he would be a good person/link to add to this site.
Spiritburner is correct in stating he has a good reputation. In fact, it is an excellent reputation. I have dealt with the owner(Mr. Fred Kuntz) many times in the past and have always been very pleased with his work. Yes, he does specialize in mica globes and his work on those is world class, in my opinion. Besides, he is the only player in town, make that in the United States, who does that. No one else does. That is for those of you into vintage American made lanterns that used mica globes. As for his decals, yes, they are excellent as well. I noticed from the catalogue that he has expanded. He used to sell only the Coleman lantern decals along with Turner, Kamplite and Sears lantern decals as well. I have bought a Sears and Turner decal from him, along with a few Coleman ones as well. Never disappointed. As for gaspressureddecals, for him to make a custom one, he would need not only a good photo of one but dimensions as well of the original decal. Best to write him for specifics. I don't know the new owner of it now so I can't tell you how his work is. I used to know the founder of that site(Randall Adams) and I know his work was fantastic. He used to make quite a few decals including custom one-offs for me when I made that batch of custom painted 502 stoves that is shown on Terry Marsh's site.
Ok....I guess that I'll revive an old thread I'm looking for decals for my Coleman 426D three burner stove, I see a paint job in it's future, lol...
Thanks Giri, I looked at the Old Coleman Parts website first....what a great resource that site is! But, I am looking for a specific decal with the lighting instructions on it.
