About a month ago I believe, a member posted a shop fabbed burner assembly. Does anyone remember this post and how can I retrieve it. Thanks all, Ken

Oh heck, Kerophile, I'd hoped Ken had this in mind from Sefa

    Home-made stove

Maybe neither of us is right, because Ken recals it was posted about a month ago. I'll keep searching ...

And very tempting it is too, to experiment. I have a few pages of scribbled designs here for burners, bolt-on stove-based lanterns, heater attatchments and all sorts.

I'm glad I don't have any equipment for brazing at the moment, I can easily imagine spending a large chunk of my time playing with fire!

Possibly my time line could be a little off. First, this stuff is- AAARRRRGGGGGGGG!- ](*,) Fantastic! Totally great stuff. Anyway, as I recall, I was looking at a cap almost identical to kerophiles in post #128550 on the Opti 96, photo's N0's 3,4,6,& 7. Copper & Brass and pretty much allowed us full spec's (drills,Spacing and all)with the template Layout sheet also. Mimicry is the highest form of flattery, and I would like to use this cap design for a project. I was talking to Lance on the M-1950's and said I was going to take a break from the stoves  Uh Huh. The wife said she likes seeing me playing with this stuff other than chopping down 4" trees with my new Spec Plus SP8 Machete. Newest addition to my bugout bag along with the Fiesta.
At least with my stoves I have a FIRE EXTINGUISHER. Anyway got the drill press cleaned up and ready to start drilling little holes as soon as I figure out some sizes and a grid. By the way, fantastic links.

    Thanks guys,
    Ken

    Heya Ken
I havn't had my coffee yet this morning which may explain it, but I can't find my post that you're referring to either. I'm sure it's there somewhere. Try this: Link
Click on "Find Posts By User". It'll give you a list of my originated posts and you can review a lot of the techniques I've used on the caps.

But, just for my own piece of mind, I'll spend some time today pulling together the cap specs and post a spec list for you and others in the Frankenstove section this evening.

Here's the link to the downloadable grid patterns in MSWord format:

Stay tuned and sorry about the wait for specs. Too many irons in the fire right now. Ack! ;)

    Cheers,
    Gary
