Doc Mark, I didn't realize they were so small, thank you for filling me in, me being such a classic stove newbie.
Looks like a good website that offers hard to find parts and services for reasonable prices. They just got added to my favorites.
Hey all! I know there was a lot of concern about Charles sending out all those e-mails. After discussing the situation with him, I decided it would probably be a good idea for me to sign on and let everyone know what's going on. I'm Michael and I'm an engineer/machinist. Charles (Charlie) is my business partner. During his surfing around the 'Net, he noticed there are a lot of older model stoves still in use but lacking repair parts. That need prompted us to make contact with Bob and Shirlene to begin creating these vital parts. We're working with them to get as many stoves back up and running as we can. There's a lot more info I'd like to post but I'm not sure how the admin will take to that. If anyone has questions, please send me a note here (for now...)
Sounds good, hope all works out. Would also make some stoves that are missing parts more valuable or desirable to obtain if they can be put back into working condition.
Exactly. That's why we want to do this. The 123 and others of it's kind are great stoves and deserve to be as long-lived as possible.
Most of the specialist parts suppliers are small. I believe Basecamp has as many as 2 'staff' most of the time. Others are half the size.
