Yesterday, a local chap came into my garage wondering if I could do something with an old ammo box as he had seen my ex-army ambulance. Course I could do something with it! . Turned out to be German, to hold the belt for an MG'41. Oh, and by the way, while cleaning up his attic he had found this old kero-stove, you know, the one you have to "pump up with this pump on the side"...Could that be something I'd like?....Course not! No junk in my yard ! Went to this nice man's home, and came home with this... The first photo shows the 2 stoves this gentleman gave me, dirty as 'ell! Did a bit of dusting-of and just slightly cleaned up the surface to see what I got! One is a Primus N°5 S:or, with SVEA burner, the other one is yet another "Trois Etoiles" (my 3th one!) advising the use of "Standard" fuel. The burner on this one is to badly damaged I fear. Now the Primus is puzzling me . It has AW over 5 in a circle on the bottom, would they still have used this method of dating in 1957 for this model? It does look to be a lot older than me (I've got the date code AW on my bottom ) Anyway, I'm very happy with my 2 "new" stoves, and will turn at least one of them into a flaming beauty! Regards, Wim

Hi Win, That's really a terrific find. I have only one (1) stove and it's a Three Star like that and I think it's a wonderful stove. Jim
That's exactly what happens over here too, silent burners very rarely come with inner/outer caps, roarers mostly come without the flame spreader. So I was really lucky! Regards, Wim
