Franco - the decals are done. I just need to put them on an old silver 71 to see how they look. Here's a low resolution, smaller than actual size preview:
oooo! I've got a 71 too that the back is kinda messed up, from my memory the decal looks similar but my 71 is not the same age as franco's. I have the one with the slots in the sides of the tank rather than the round holes near the bottom.
Ross, I have two questions: My 71 does not have any trace of having any kind of decal on it. My 71 has elongated slots for vents. The grey paint seems original, and there is no sign of repainting anywhere. 1) Was there any 71s that did not come with decals inside or outside? 2) Is there any chance of getting your decals made, and have it mailed across the pond? I thought they would look great, when I dress up my 71. Could you e-mail me your response?
Ross they look great! Any chance you could send/post the large versions? If have an aquaintence who is into the printing business and he may be able to print these off onto clear selfadhesive labels. Great job. -franco
