Yeah, it's no classic camp stove, but what a beauty! I've always wanted one, definitely not needed one and it just happened into my lap....thank you Craigslist! These things run anywhere from $230-$280 depending on where you shop, but this one, new in the box, fitty bones and a short drive (tomorrow)....sweet. I've only got the stock photo posted, but we'll make sure to post a pic of a bacon, eggs, hasbrown and biscuit cookout on our test run. Plus, for when the power goes out, it'll be nice to have another backup oven, hehehe. here's a link to Cabela's ad....although I'm sure most of you have also drooled on these... http://www.cabelas.com/p-0055417518463a.shtml
Yup, it will be a fun toy when and if we do bring it camping. From the reviews I've read, you'd better be ready to answer questions from all the other campers wandering by.
Yeah, it'll run the oven section on high for seven hours on a 1 lb bottle (those little green ones) but we also bought an adapter with a 12 foot hose to run the bigger 20 plus pound propane tanks. Picked it up today, ran it when we got home; we'll make sure to post up some running pics when we cook on it. I gotta say it's really a nice setup. Oven fits 9x13 cake pans just fine and would easily roast a chicken. Both burners and the oven have piezo starters and the oven has a real nice glass window for looking at food without opening it along with a temp gauge on the front (we'll probably by-pass that and use a digital bbq style one). It sure is pretty; tons of chrome and really well built...can't wait to use it!
