Has anyone seen the tank type that I have ? Is it common ? I would love to hear any comments. The last photo shows the only chip in the paint. Marco
Mines got the same tank as yours, not the brass one. Goes really well not much else to say really, i got it from and old guy who had it for years and looked after it well. Its a pleasure to use.
Christer, thanks very much for the help with the pictures, Sorry I took so long to thank you,,,,,,,,,Marco
Mine also has that tank - I must admit I always thought it was a replacement until I just saw this thread. Thanks! Graham.
I got into trouble the other day with the stove,,, was BBQ and using the stove to keep things warm. I lit the warming tray ?? ,, turned on the gas too soon,,, Next thing i knew the whole stove was involved,, as well as the bottle with the alcohol to prime it all. It was on a glass tabletop,,, fuel everywhere,, mostly lit . melted the side of the primer bottle,, was adding to the mess. It will take alot to get the soot from under the stove. never turn your back,,,,, ever!!!!
Hello. I think it's not alcohol stove, the burner head the normal kerosene head. I have a Primus 535AR that's an alcohol stove, the head is different. If u like, i'll upload photos.. Bye Roy.
Funny as that was my immediate thought when I spotted my latest 535 shares the same tank. Still, doesn't appear to have impacted the working of the stove thus far. I gave the tank a minor rinse after it had been stored apparently for many years with no tank cap, albeit inside a home rather than a damp shed thank goodness. Primed it and turned the knob and presto! Boiled my pot for a cuppa in no time.
