Hi Guys - I've just won a Valor Packaway on Fleabay! If it needs anything replacing, any ideas where the spares can be got from? Had a look on our sponsors site but nothing listed. Does any other make have the same design/size fittings? Had a quick search on here for info but it doesn't seem to be a popular stove? I've fettled a Primus 96 in this style but fancied a british roarer for my collection!! Thanks
It shares the same NRV as its Swedish brothers. The same kero jet too. The tank gasket is the same too IIRC. They are a good stove. I do like the burner with the center screw for easy access to the jet. Jeff
There's this example from Ross's collection in the Stove Ref Gallery and a couple more featured in the Valor listing in the Ref Gallery too Valor Packaway Regarding spares, the most likely components to require replacement are the pump leather, tank filler cap seal and non return valve 'pip'. Possibly the heatproof washers in the burner if tightening up the burner by hand doesn't seal a leak. Phone Base Camp and they'll be able to help you out, even though the Valor originals aren't listed. John

Well - I've got it! They are a lot bigger than my Primus 96!! Thought they were a similar size from pics I've seen. Changed the tank washer, made a new nrv washer from 5mm nitrile cord (had to reduce the radius by about .3mm). Used a copper washer I had knocking around, for the base of the burner, oiled the leather pump washer and Off we go, it runs well apart from a slightly yellow flame. Its fierce when pumped up well. lacquers pretty naff - off to polish now!! Photo's to follow later.
Did you ever get any help with your enquiry as I have a Valor Packaway complete with tin carrying case but the Fount Stem has a part of the nut that screws into the main body cut off, it all still works okay but I wanted to see if I could buy a new Fount Stem. Best regards, Micky.
Hi @Micky burke and welcome to CCS. The part you want is no longer made but generic spares are being manufactured and sold on ebay. I think that one of these should fit OK, but I am not sure which one. The seller just mentions the words 'small' and 'large'. I suspect it is the small one, but the seller can be contacted. He is well known and helpful. Click here and here. Other members may have bought one or both of these spigots and might advise here.
