I recently found this old Coleman three burner stove and was wondering if anyone had any information on it. I have no idea what model it is or how old it is.
Well I know naff-all about Coleman suitcase stoves but a quick look at the Stove Reference Gallery reveals that three-burner Coleman suitcases are models 418, 420 and 426. The 426 didn't have the cast iron manifold yours seems to have so my best guess at this stage would be either of the other two i.e. 418 or 420. There are plenty of Colemaniacs hereabouts and one of them will be along shortly to keep you right. In the meantime, have a look at the 418 and 420 models in the SRG and compare them with what you have. Hope that helps and welcome to the forums, BTW!
....such a small tank for such a large stove... It's a Coleman 418; the first 3 burner camp stove....very cool, worth holdin on to! Made in the late 30's. Looks to be in real nice shape too....except the color
Nice find!! You can check out another on Terry Marsh's site......Go up to the above Links button and then scroll down to the link for one titled: Gas Pressure Lanterns, Lamps, Stoves and Irons. Once at his site, look for the Coleman stove link for the pre-1945 stoves and scroll thru them. Too bad you didn't post about your new find late last week as I driving thru your area and more than gladly would have taken your newly found prize off your hands. 8)
Thanks for your help everyone! I could not find it anywhere.(David, Next time you are in the area let me know, I am planning on selling it. I have no use for it.)
