    Hi

New to the site and new to Optimus stoves. Recently purchased a 111B, though I believe the burner has been replaced. After looking over some exploded views I am still not sure what it is. Looks somewhat like 111T and 111C. Can I assume that many of the parts are interchangeable? Such as jets, needle, strainer, graphite packing, etc.? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

If you post a photo of your stove with a closeup of the burner it would help us to identify exactly what you have.

It is important for safety to check and fix your NRV (non return valve). This lurks at the bottom of the pump tube and stops the fuel from spraying back out as you pump air in to pressurize the tank.

Have a look here for 'NRV tool', you will need to make or buy one of these to get the valve out. Then you open it up and have a look at the seal, this will very likely have degraded over time.

Replace it with a new seal of nitrile rubber or Viton, if you can get it. Ordinary rubber is not good enough, it is not fuel proof and will decay rapidly. Large fuelproof rubber washers can be used to make an NRV seal, they are tiny.

If you do have the 111B burner then it will only run on gasoline, Coleman fuel, camp fuel, white gas. Any leaks while the stove is running would be a disaster!

It will be worth checking the filler cap seal as well. If it is hard and plasticky, replace it. It should be soft and rubbery. Replacement cap seals can be cut from nitrile rubber sheet or bought from http://packstoves.net
