Hi I live over here in Spain and very rarely ever see any type of pressure stoves or lanterns here, does anyone know of any Spanish manufacturers that i could try tracking down.

Plenty of blowlamps and soldering irons but no stoves!

    Thanks Neil

Hi Neil, not Spanish, but the Poruguese, Hipolito made excellent stoves and pressure lanterns until the factory finally closed in 1999.
A European classic stove factory that almost made it into the 21 Century!

Yes - I believe there is one but I'll not be able to look it up until later.
I'm planning on adding the Manufacturers List to the site as a list rather than a download - that should be done soon. The maker I'm thinking off still needs to be added to the list.

Serrot - mainly blowlamps & furnaces but they did at least one 'primus' type stove & an alcohol stove. I will post the paperwork later. There was also a 'Primus-Hispania' single burner range from c1930 which features a Primus tank but I don't know if it is official Primus or licensed product.

Thanks for all the help, I will check out Serrot over the next month as its holiday season here, I have seen their blowlamps and soldering irons but did not realise they did a primus clone as well.

The soldering irons are very cheap over here normally around €10/15 max so if anyone fancies one let me know and i will get some next time i see them at the flea markets.

The Spanish dont seem to collect many things and therefore when you see these items they are either very cheap or incredibly expensive. Just depends what day of the week it is, buts thats the beauty of the place!

    thanks everyone

As you guys may know I am a lamp guy and know little about stoves Etc. but most lamp manufacturers also made stoves and such so these may be of interest. Brand names in caps and I have indicated those who I believe are just retailers.

AL SOL, COLUMBUS and ESTELAR, Casa Klaebisch, Via Layetana 149, Barcelona, Spain: DANUS (retailer): FOCUS and VOLCAN, Padrós y Soler Ltda. Badelona, España: RICARDO MESTRES Flores 16, Barcelona: SOLAR GASOMAX. Waldemar Möller. L’Hospitalet de Llobregat , Catalonia, Spain: VIKING 1, Calle Pintor Fortuny, Barcelona, Spain (retailer): VIÑALS Spain. ZACHARIASSEN Zachariassen y Cia. Suc. 110 Muntaner Barcelona Spain. (retailer)

I have just learnt that Cimsa made a pressure lantern but I have no information on this company/brand. I would like to know things like Location and the name of the owner and dates of production. Being an inquisitive sort of chap I would also like to know the name of the owners grandmothers cook and the name of her favourite dog. ::Neil::

    @mackburner

    Hi Neil.

All trademarks you wrote are close. My friend Juan M Lopez Vallina and I will try to meet an Alfred Klaebisch grandchild wich lives in Barcelona.

I looked for VIÑALS relatives and didn't find anyone.

I'm searching more information about Padrós y Soler, Ltda at Badalona Historical City Museum.

As soon as I find any information it will be a pleasure to share with you.

BTW As you wrote, Alfred Klaebish is the owner of the AL SOL, COLUMBUS, ESTELAR.... and A.K.B. (Alfred Klaebish Barcelona)

This is a AKB double burner stove.
