These have been talked about here before, price is about the same in the UK and they look good. The UK ones IIRC are made by Outwell and the pans are bigger than standard Trangia sets.

Thanks for the reminder, I might treat myself to a set for xmas :)

Has anyone got/used one of these pan sets?. Does it fit the standard trangia burner, and would it be suitable for conversion for a stove?

Wonder if the stainless pots would fit in a Trangia Aluminum wind screen. Perhaps a good split between weight and durability??

    Dang, Baja,

That most certainly sounds like a challenge, doesn't it??!! :-k :-k :D :D O:)  I think I'll let someone ELSE do the research on this one, though!! ;)  Your Rascal, you!! :D :D Take care, and God Bless!

    Every Good Wish,
    Doc

P.S. I had thought that, if I had been using stainless steel, instead of aluminum, the steel would have reflected more heat down onto the canister, and it's possible it would have blown! If that had happened, then the other canisters, and most likely, the blackpowder would have blown, too, which would have been a real disaster!! So, I'm all through with that kind of excitement, if ya' don't mind!!    8-[ O:)

    Hey, Sparky,

As long as we're talking about black powder, you're going to have to change your name to something other than "Sparky"!!! ;) ;)

Nah, I was just referring to the almost accident that I had at my last Living History event, where I had three pounds of blackpowder in my tent, and then melted down the aluminum pot from an MSR Reactor! THAT would have been too much of a good thing, me thinks!! Take care, and God Bless!

    Every Good Wish,
    Doc

Having looked on the net in the UK, the cheapest I can find it is about £48 delivered, and I haven't been able to track down any reviews on the kit at all.......I like the US price..........what a bargain.

Can't comment on the set other than it looks like a nice set up.

However, I have ordered from that site earlier this spring whilst gearing up for a canoe trip in the Boundary Waters and had no troubles whatsoever.

    Hi Wedgie.
WEhereabouts in Filey did you manage to find one?
We go to Filey a few times, its quieter than the other towns.
Was it one of the diy/household stores or the tiny camping/outdoors store?
    Thats a cracking price.

    Thanks
