Oh ok that makes sense. I have been looking at them on ebay and they seem to go from 50 to 120 with not a whole lot of difference between them as far as the wrench and spare parts clip.
The wrench and parts clip are big ones. Spares in the pump tube and in the clip are nice. The ladel on the tank will put the price up. The red knob on the cleaning lever is often missing. I find normally with ebay it is not so much the item as the bidding war that can happen. The amount and quality of the pictures helps too. These stoves pop up on craigslist once in a while. Jeff
Yea the bidding wars seem to get out of hand at times. I have been looking for estate sales and the like with one of these stoves but haven't had much luck with that.
Jshamp since we do not give valuations on this site i must refer you to ebay or cregslist or someother source. Regardless of the site where you find and then buy your stove it is valued at whatever you deem it's worth. This is the only answer which will set a proper value to the stove in question. lance
As "Russ in California" mentioned, he picked up TWO of them, dirt cheap. I found mine for 15.00 usd. Getting them that cheap requires "hunting trips" of one kind or another. Go to "flea markets" pawn shops, junk shops. etc. Other members have found Svea 123s in Thrift Shops! ( I have yet to find anything other than Coleman type stoves or lanterns in a thrift. Doc Mark, Lance, and many other members will confirm I am sure, you must go hunt in the wild! Sometimes you can get lucky on E-bay, but patience and hunting is better.
And the best way to succeed at that is to grab whatever is for sale rather than looking for something specific. Eventually you may find the stove of your dreams but in the meantime you will have bargains on what you do find, you'll have some fun, and you will have trading stock that can help you get what you do want! So many of the great deals we all enjoy sharing with each other were just targets of opportunity (that brought delight to the purchaser!) Happy hunting (and finding!) Bob and the other guys are right. You just need to keep your eyes peeled. If I see something I will sent you a PT. In the meantime keep yours eyes open for Coleman 520 (M1941) and the M1950 stoves. I have been doing pretty good finding stuff on craigs list lately, usually just posting want ads. Over the summer i picked up two 530's and the guy threw in a 520 with the deal. Got them all working good but the 520 is rough and missing a foot. I have thought about taking the feet off since they appear to be soldered on and arranging them like the three leggers if i cant find or make a new one for it. And just a couple weeks ago stumbled across a m-1950 while picking up some lantern parts and cases. So i will just have to keep scouring the antique malls and flea markets.

Don't forget to let your friends and family know what you are looking for. Provide a picture if necessary. Sometimes someone else finds a treasure but doesn't recognize it. If they know you are looking, you have that many more eyes on the prize!
That is very true sparky. There is a guy at the flea market i check every time i go that is into military vintage stuff. We got on the conversation of stoves and it turns out he has two containers for stoves, the 530's by the sounds of it he is going to bring in sat. He didn't really know what i meant about the military stoves though so i am going to bring in the m-1950 and a pic of the m-1942mod and see if he might have one tucked away somewhere.
