Here are two questions I would appreciate your input on. I have a 1947 Primus 71 that has a twisted burner tube, rounded flats on the burner nut, and it looks like the pressure relief wire has been sloppily resoldered after overheating. I am taking inventory of parts that would heal other stoves in my pile of projects (key, chain, flame spreader, filler cap) and am curious if the nipple would be a suitable replacement for the one that is missing on my Radius 17. Second question is: Are there any interchange charts that answer a question like this? I haven't found one yet. I haven't made the decision to part this out yet as it would be project that would teach me a lot, but it would be good to know my options. Bob

Hi Robert. The aperture in the jet from the Pr.71 is I believe 0.23mm diameter. That of a jet suitable for a Radius 17 is O.32mm diameter. The jets should have the same thread. The Radius 17 will run on the small jet but will be much de-rated. You can buy a NOS jet for the Radius and then restore the Pr.71. There are no "interchange charts" on CCS as we do not approve of cannibalism Best Regards, Kerophile.
Thanks for your help. Although this one is in rough shape I will certainly give it a go at some point. After all I'd rather have a working 71, but in the meantime it will probably lend some parts to other stoves just so they can have a test run. Bob
