Hi It's been a while ago since I worked on my Phoebus stoves. Recently we had some questions on burner types in the german (pelam.de) forum. While I was picking a few parts to show on a picture I found a Nr1 preheater cup and put it on a 625. This has been suggested before by someone else. Anyhow I haver so far not seen a picture and a report how it works. Well -here it is: it works great! Preheating time is reduced as the flames are closer to the burner head and for those who are worried about the discoloration when using the tank as preheater cup this also will solve your problem. A Nr1 cup is also 100 % compatible for use with the windshield. I can see no downside of adding such a cup. By the way, washers I used came from our friend kerophile - needless to say they work as well as the rest of the Phoebus cheers Mike |imgRemoved|

Basically this N°1 is the same size as all the "other" N°5's (Primus, Opti, SVEA, et all), the classic 2-pint stove. Regards, Wim
Hi guys I thought I also show you the next version of "pimp my Phoebus". The idea of getting this in chrome is not new. I had mine done with the help of a kind member of the german Pelam forum. Looks great! Again -also here the preheater cup will help prevent any damage or discoloration of the tank. cheers Mike
Hi Mike, Lovely! I put a pre-heater cup on mine years ago and the paint has not be destroyed. But the chrome finish - that's something else. Droooolllll!
