    Hi all,

I know, it is a bit early, but I'd like to start planning next year's holydays pretty early due to a hectic work situation (if I still have a job next year :-k ...). So, when will next year's Newark meet take place, as I'd like to visit (and even the missus has shown an interest!   ).

    Regards,

    Wim

    OK, Wim...

For the past few years, the Newark Meet has been held on the weekend after the UK Late Spring Bank Holiday. In 2011, the LSBH is the 30th May so that would mean the Newark weekend would be the 4th/5th of June.

BUT (and notice it's a BIG but) at Newark last year, Ross was talking of postponing the meet by a week for 2011. I've heard nothing since then, one way or the other. I suggest you send a PT direct to Ross and find out what his thoughts are on this.

Wouldn't like you to turn up a week early!!

 Thanks David! (I could do the lawn while waiting for everyone else to turn up ;) ). First or second weekend is fine for me, no-one else at work is going to have their holidays that early. If nothing else stops me, I'll be there (chorus)!

    All the best,

    Wim

Hi Graham, I've been thinking of taking the Old Lady (no, I'm not talking about the missus here! ) with me, after all it's very handy to sleep in! But she's in need of some urgent cosmetic care ( needs some de-rusting and a good respray + new rubbers for doors & windows). There are a few other jobs waiting to be done, but maybe.... 8)

    All the best,

    Wim

    Hey Wim,

I don't know if you ever have been to the Newark event before, but it will be my 4th time around next year and I can say that you won't regret comming.

I sure am looking forward to meeting you as I will be there also. Even my gf showed interrest of comming a 2nd time around. She can't stop talking about Henry... don't know if that is a good or bad thing though  ;)

Anyway, looking forward to meet a stovie who lives a bit closer to home, yet from a different country ;)

Hi Arjan, it would be my first "Newark" and I really hope nothing will stop me from coming! We've just spend 5 days in The Netherlands (Texel) and coming home ran into one of your famous traffic congestions! 3 and a half hours of (dead)slow traffic.....   Mind, last february it took me over 8hours to travel from Dover to Manchester, this used to be a 4-5hour trip  .
Anyway, I'm looking forward to meet all you good people next summer!

    All the best,

    Wim

Yes - those are the dates. I'll add info to the site in the next few weeks but it's the usual script! ;)

Forgive me please as I am a reletively new stovie. Is the Newark meet in Newark, Nottinghamshire UK or Newark USA or Newark elsewhere?? I need to know if I am to book a bus, train or a flight! If Nottingham I can stay with No1 Daughter, if USA I will have to commute from Cincinnati, if elsewhere I will just rough it with my old best Arctic sleeping bag! Regards Steve.

Will you be making an appearance at Newark this year, Henry?

Less than 3 months to go...
