    Hipolito Caimán

Found this Hipolito N- 36 at the already then abandon Caiman Lodge Bolivar State, Venezuela, February 2010 it had been converted into a still, at first I thought I could use it for parts but talking to a friend at work he mention a machinist that had made some work for the construction project we have been on so I decided to have him make me the riser from the tank to the burner, I gave him a sample of the N-36 and N-2 and he replicated them exactly.
The rest was easy, Build the inner fuel riser from copper tubing , installed a spare N-36, free the stuck check valve and a spare pump assembly from an Hindu RUPA stove and made some legs for the pan
And borrowed the pre heater cup from one of my Hipolito
And a lot of elbow grease

Thanks Ron I believe it was worth it, I still have to build me a pre heater cup for it but it is definitely going to be a user

Solid! Looks like a excellent user, but I might have been just a teeny bit tempted to try it as a still 1st. If I understand stills, the mash would have gone in the tank, heat underneath and plastic hose attached to the copper tube sticking up out of the tank? Rotgut indeed, but boredom is a funny thing....

Maybe just make a bit of brandy from some wine, filling it with mash and then cleaning it out would be a beeeech. :content:
