How old ? A friend of mine found this one in Switzerland. It is burning very nice (blue) In a very - very nice shape !
Some guys have all the luck!!! This is what I've been looking for, but never been able to find Congratulations to your friend, lovely lovely lovely! Best regards, Wim
Oh, my! I've lusted after these burners since I first saw them in the catalogs. If there is any possibility of some close up pictures of the burners with and without the caps and also actually burning (maybe in a semi-darkened room?), I, for one, would be eternally grateful. Please, please? Gary
What a nice looking set up and in great condition. And I also would like to see some flame shots. Cheers
I will visit my friend in Switzerland in July, and there I will take some pictures of the burner parts and some flame shots.
Very nice and interesting. It looks like only two rows of holes (and very large holes) in the outer cap. Does the stove require much pressure to run efficiently? Dave
Here are links to the pages in the 1932 catalog here at CCS that discuss or illustrate these unique burners, apparently designated the 3/37: https://classiccampstoves.com/fusion/gallery/1/1210028718-06.jpg https://classiccampstoves.com/fusion/gallery/1/1210028923-20.jpg https://classiccampstoves.com/fusion/gallery/1/1210029029-25.gif https://classiccampstoves.com/fusion/gallery/1/1210029029-26.gif From the illustrations, it appears the outer had three rows of holes. The inner cap had a unique shape. The first link has a discussion of the burner in Swedish. I'm not a Swedish reader/speaker but I think I am picking up that folks at Radius were very excited about this new burner? Cheers, Gary
Hi Salar, a lovely set-up. I would date this arrangement to late 1920s/early 1930s. Look a this 1929 French catalogue for Primus stoves and accessories: https://classiccampstoves.com/threads/11195 It may be that cast-iron range, which holds the two stoves, is French made. The beautiful green enamelling is very characteristic of French stove and heater work. Perhaps you could do some research to see if Hoffmann U Delise Zurich, were distributors or manufacturers of cast-iron ware and stoves. Best Regards, Kerophile.
