I would like to have a spindle control knob for my Optimus 99 in place of the key. Ideally, the type with the red knob that reads "Optimus" and has the arrows for "clean" & "close".
Is there such an animal that will fit inside the 99 case? I saw one that was perfect but the overall length was stated as 4 7/8" and I don't see how that will fit.

Wow! Old age must be getting the best of me. I just realized that I asked this same question over a year ago. I sincerely apologize. The moderators can feel free to delete this post.

    Hi MTCamper

The eBay seller who is selling the knob is, admittedly, a stove pal of mine. That said, I just put my identical knob which I took off my 111 into a Optimus 99 clone case. It's a tight fit and took a bit of juggling, but it did fit in the case of the clone and allowed me to close the case completely. Also, granted, it's a clone, not a gen-u-wine 99.

Bottom line, if an eBay seller with 3381 100% feedbacks assures you it will fit and offers to work out any issues with you in their listing, what's the problem? :D 8)

Alternatively, you *could* just make your own knob. ;)

    Cheers,
    Gary
