A friend just dropped off a Primus Type 2048 two burner compact propane stove (moving, cleaning out stuff, knows I have NRA Syndrome.....Never Refuse Anything stove related). It's in fairly good and what appears to be operational condition, however, it is missing the hose / valve connection. I've tried my Coleman hose (no fit) and looked at Base Camp's parts list without success. Any suggestion about a source for the hose? When did Primus make these stoves? Thanks. Paul
Hello Paul, I have the Primus 2048 and it has worked wonderfully over the years. If you can't find the hose, is there any way you would consider selling it? I need to replace the knobs on mine. The stove has some sentimental value from me since it was passed on to me from my grandfather and I would like to continue using it in a better condition. Thank you for your time; please feel free to contact me. Luis
Be-Back-Later lamp/lantern site has this Primus Gas appliance catalogue. I'm guessing the products date from the late 1960's, maybe 70's. The illustrations of happy campers and tradesmen suggest an even earlier period http://www.be-back-later.com/index.php?product=./catalogue//Primus/Primus Gas.htm&neuzen=2&fn=Primus Gas]Primus Gas catalogue[/url] I don't see the #2048 stove listed there though. Does it resemble the two-burner stove (#2062) that features in the catalogue? John
