No burner or spirit cup, but glad to have it, not least for that intriguing 'Safe and Handy' engraving on the tank, which I've not seen on a Sievert stove before I've no idea of the date, but I reckon that the 'external' non-return valve makes it an early Sievert product. Not a lot in the way of CCS examples, though there's this one: Neil's Vapouria No date stamp on the bottom, just a lovely patina It's lost it's handle at some point ... ... presumably something like this example on my Primus 85 'furnace' stove The pump knob on the Vapouria is elegant and well proportioned (meaning, big) The filler cap on the other hand is a rather crudely constructed home-made effort and the air-screw's not a Sievert original, but is a generic type of a much more recent date, stamped 'Sweden' on both flats The 'external' non-return valve In terms of size, though of a 'furnace' pattern, it's not much larger than its Svea 40 sibling ... ... and is dwarfed by the Primus 85 stove The Vapouria's riser threads take the Primus 85's burner, but it looks out of proportion and though that example of Neil's looks to be of similar size, I'm guessing that something smaller would have gone on this model originally John
The burner off a Primus No.84 (same size roarer as that on a Primus No.3) is more like it and with a new tank filler cap washer and nitrile replacement for the non-return valve, together with a fill of paraffin of course, the stove fired up beautifully John
Sorry for not replying sooner. Ah, looks like you saw it on ebay (bid too, maybe?) Cobble, along with a home-made screw-in reducer to adapt a Primus No.5 sized silent burner to fit the stove. I've kept the bits of course. John
My apologies also John, I did have a little flutter on it, but I didn't even come in the running. Best Ian
