I am looking to pick up a three burner and I am wondering if there is good reason to choose one these over the other. The 426B seems more common and a bit less expensive. Do they share common parts? The Coleman parts page has no entry for the 426B. Thanks!

Most of the parts are the same.
The first 3 numbers in the part number correspond (usually) to the stove model. so the generator for a 426D is really for a 413 stove.
As to 426B vice 426D, I've never seen a B model, but I have seen some D's...could be a regional thing.

The d model is newer(red tank), but the b is heavier and sturdier with the rounded corners and copper colored tank.

As stated the generators are identical to the 413 series, however the tanks are not.

Funny thing about the tank on the 426B...there are several on ebay with red tanks. Replacements?

    Love the sig Sam.

Really not so sure now. I was trolling around and saw some b models with red tanks also. Not really a big deal to me what color, as long as it works. Would be nice to know for sure though. What I really want is a lost truckload of Everdur tanks. If you find one, quietly drop me a note.

I have a 426C that looks just like Sam's except it has a red tank and a red towel rack.
