Optimus 111 early model?

    Earlier this summer Jr discovered a military surplus store and got hold of a nice 111 for himself. Seeing that, I ordered him to go back and get me one. Being raised well and a good boy, this is what he brought back for his old father :content:

    Burning well I think

    My only concern is whether to give it a full restoration or leave it as is to show its history as a military stove :-k Guess I will take the path of least resistanse and just keep it as is :roll:

    Good call. I also like letting the stove wear its history -- especially if it is nice shape like that one.

    Looks good, one of my 111's is a military stove, I've left it as is, looks more like it should then.

    And its my guess that says "Optimus Sweden" in both types of writing, but I was home from school the day they taugth arabic letters ;)
