Hi All I'm very sorry for the wait you've had for these flame plates as my pooter ( Norfolk speak ) decided to give up the ghost on me ,so i lost everything pics, descriptions etc & it left me in limbo just occasionally using the wifes to keep up. But finally my pooter guru has managed to get my old bus going so here goes. George & i have worked long & hard on this little project to bring to you some of these long defunct items but they are only a short run & if we get enough interest ( run out ) we will arrange another run at the foundry 8) The larger plates for the Optimus 100 ( dished type ) & Primus 100 will be £10.50 each including postage ( inside the EU ) & + £1.00 if anywhere else in the world , the SH&S & primus 96 plates will be £5.50 inc post & once again £1.00 post extra if outside the EU . George & i agreed that a full set of four ( one of each ) will be £30.00 inc post to all anywhere in the world Please contact me if your interested with your postal adress & email, here are some pics to whet your appetite 8) 8) Top view of the plates with description & the bottom view 96 on the left & SH&S on the right at full tilt 8) The Optimus 100 on the 96 burner , this fits & works a treat looks pretty cool too 8) & up to speed 8) & the Primus 100 plate atop the 96 looking good as well Best regards Stu & George
garsh, i wish i had just one of the stoves that needed one of these plates! :-( (the plates look great though - good job!)
Thanks Stu, wasn't sure, info sent. This will get one 96 going, a parts stove, need a priming cup now and legs for a complete stove. I need to order a few things from our sponsor. I really need to take one of my 96's on a backpacking trip, never used them except to fire up in the garage. Duane
Those look great Stu and George . I'll have to check my stoves over and see if I need one or two. Nice work!!!! Dan
Took delivery of a package today ... ... a set of loco7stove/kerophile co-production flame plates Set against 'originals' (bottom row) the repros compare very favourably, better in the case of the Primus 96 plate. I don't have an Optimus 100 to make a comparison, but the repro is certainly well finished So, the stoves to test them. Primus 100, Primus 96 and Thermidor Flame shots, where else but here Post your flame shots here! John
Well darn I may have to buy a stove now that needs a plate just so I can try one of those out. Nice work guys
Hi All The first batch of 96 plates are all spoken for but don't forget the optimus 100 plates will fit , work & look seriously cool on this type of stove. I'm off to the foundry to get some more sorted out later . Please be aware these will be on ebay soon so get them while you still can at these prices . I'll post again when they are available again 8) . Best regards Stu
hi i need an optimus 100 burner plate for my austrian optimus. if you could do it with "made in austria" on the bottom that would be great but I know I am asking for the moon. Regards Iain
Hi These come without any marks on so no one will know but they are repro's after all & will get you going until you find a genuine one ( but who's to say it isn't a real one anyway ) . if you'd like one please send your email & postal adress & i'll get one on the way to you but please be quick as i'm away for a while. Best regards Stu .
Hi stu. This is great to see that someone went to the trouble of making these. I'd really love to get one for my grandfather's old primus 96, at this point i don't mind if it's the exact same as original, so the other one that would also fit would be fine. You got any left? Or are you making more? Conrad
She (!) finally arrived ! Such a beauty... I bought a monitor picnic without plate only to use it as pedestal 8-[
Greetings, Stu, I hope all is well with you, and that life has been good. You may have seen the Vesuvius Model 200 that I recently posted on CCS in the Reference Gallery, and know my plight already. But, I am in need of two flame spreaders for this stove, and think your repros would be VERY nicely, indeed! I tested a repro cast from an original Primus 100 plate, by Albert White (Handi Albert), and it fits perfectly. So, I'm thinking the one you make for the Primus 100 should work a treat. One question, however: Are both the Primus and the Optimus 100 plates you cast the same basic size, or is the Optimus a tad smaller? I like the dished out look of the Optimus spreader you make, but want to make certain the fit is the same. In any case, please let me know if you need measurements, or send measurements for both your Optimus and Primus flame spreaders, and we can go from there. Your handiwork will help me get my old Vesuvius back up and running again, and I'm stoked about that! I look forward to hearing from you at your convenience, Stu, and as always, God Bless you and yours! Every Good Wish, Doc (Mark)
