If you like Coleman (and Svea)
Maybe not but...so a funny thing happened on the way...no...you won't believe what ...no... there was this guy, yeah, right, that's it...
    who had some stoves...
He threw in an xtra and I picked up the Svea and the Coleman pump cup kit at another local for...wait for it ](*,)
$20 total! And these aren't the usual 'rabble' I end up with at the thrift store.

looks like the sort of deal you get in the back room of the pub in the next suburb. Real owner might want them back

I don't hate you. Today I drove 120 miles round trip to the largest flea market in the area. Not a single stove did I find. Not one. None, nada, zip, zero. I hate you after all. :D

I do not hate you. Hate is an emotion closely related to love and if i hated you that much then it might be suggested that i; 1. love to hate you, or perhaps 2. hate to love you. I choose the lessor option which is, i refuse to have any emotion toward you. In that way i can ignore your good fortune and thusly remove my self from this emotion thing all together. I swear i can. I can surely i can. Dang it all, I CAN. I TELL YOU, I CAN.

Oh bloody 'ell you win, :rage: :rage: i hate you.

    The Svea, yea, maybe.

The 425's? Hell, ya want ANOTHER ONE?

I wouldn't waste piss, let alone money on one. Only reason I have ONE is it was free.

This score was the result of 'trolling'. I put an ad in CL basically saying "don't throw away that stove that didn't sell at your yard sale. I'll take them off your hands". Only one response but you see the results.
One time I scored a nice Svea 123 for free with an ad looking for gas pressure stoves.
Guess it's the bait you use and yes they will take up plenty of room in the garage that I do not have(read: messy junk haven for the family).
Right now I'm thick with 425 and plan to fettle and weed out the weak.

Yep. Down in Louisiana, water skiing is called "trolling for alligators". Kinda makes sense.....

As you clean up, weed out, the dross do give some consideration for some who might have a use for the bits and pieces which would otherwise go to the bin.

I have a need for a pan grate if you have one without a home.

update on my flea market browsing - i did see a SVEA Optimus No. 1 type kero burner - tank was dented, no flame ring, highly abused, rusted supports...

but i passed on it, even though it was the first time i've seen one at the local market in five years...

(missed a nice early 3-burner Coleman last week, but i'm running out of room in the garage)

3-burners are addicting though. I have a 426B, a 426D, and a 426E, but I would still have to think twice about not getting more. I also wish I had not sold my 3-burner primus with the sealed burners.
