Greetings fellow stovies. A friend and myself were in need of a travel cap for the Primus 70. For those that are unfimilar to the Primus 70. The stove was the predecessor of what would be the Primus 71. The Primus 70 lacks any control valve/spindle. Therefore while in transit/storage the travel cap/reserve cap has to be placed over the jet to prevent fuel from leaking out. There is a rubber seal inside the cap to make a seal. Though I believe this would have been cork back in the day. The travel cap screws in the same thread the bell does. So I asked around and Gary stepped up to the challenge of making a copy of one of these travel caps. With some help from me with measurements of the cap and profile. superb work Gary as i have said a good few times now no matter how bad condition a stove is or what part is missing all most all stoves can be restored rather than be scrapped or used as spare parts,thanks to all our ingeniuous friends on CCS
