My recent purchase makes me wonder... ...Trying to figure out its approx age. - Does anybody know when text type used in the fuel lids and pump caps of those old pre 1911 No:1s was changed?
Waiting for it to arrive... Here is one pic taken by seller... Item is not mint, but nice anyway. Shouldn`t take too much work. Plate and burner aren`t original. Burner model might be early model 4? Missing the cap, anyway... However, shape of legs and spirit cup as well as tank lid give me a reason to believe it could be (late) pre 11 model.
Hi Pivo, Great to see your stove, I have one the same. On the bottom it has the letter A marked which is 1911. Also the same sa yours the metho cup is the same, ie smaller than the newer ones. I have just finished restoring it. I found it in a junk shop, it caught my eye and seeing the date stamp I had to purchase it, although it was missing a leg, pump, and caps. After several years sitting waiting to be fettled I slowly found the missing original parts. It works very well. Also it has a noisy burner and the filler lid has a normal but flat brass bit sticking up to turn it, this is not a cast one but flat brass with primus stamped on it. I don't know much about the production details or month of manufacture so are keen to follow this thread , someone else may know some details. What got me going on this one is that this year it turned 100 years old, my oldest stove Cheers Rob
Hi Robert, Great to hear that you have patiently given a new life for one abandonned stove. It would also be very nice to see some pics of your stove. I am still (impatiently) waiting for my stove to arrive... I will check its details and attach more pictures later. According to pictures by seller, there isn`t any stamps (not even Primus stamp) on the bottom, but I cannot be 100% sure of that before I get it for a closer look. On the pump lid is also text "Lindquist patent" - that should also be one indicator of its age.
Ok, pictures ? I had pictures of the stove unrestored and some during restoration but they were only on my lap top which were not backed up and my hard disk died, so lost them, lesson number one , regulary back up! I will take some pics and try to post them here, never done this before. Cheers rob

Finally. I got my stove in this really stormy evening (happy to own some Aladdin lamps) when lights blink. Stove seems to be made before year 1911. Only exception to my pre assumes is that there is text on the bottom of the tank, but not any letter code. Only Made in Sweden in the middle and BA Hjort & co Stockholm around. No text on the air screw. Condition was even better than i expected regarding to original pictures, just some over polishing and ugly solder repairs, that could be easily fixed. Well, now its time for a real hot sauna and some sleep...
