Well done - pretty thing indeed. Damn - I thought I had all of that size I needed. Wanted Primus 210, '55 must be in better order than its potential new owner.
Ian Great stove!! I have a number of 210s ( and the almost identical Optimus 00s). They are great stoves. Slightly larger than the 96, but still small and can be used for back-packing. The burner ensures that they give a really hot flame despite their size. The cute little retaining chain was kept long after other stoves had innovating ways of not losing the tank cap. It is a shame to say that the stoves of this size by Primus and Optimus were far superior to those produced by British companies.

Hey, Magnus, Ian's stove originally came with a folding tin windscreen, which can be seen folded up, just to the right, inside Ian's tin. Of course, he could use the later, brass windscreen, if he wishes, but the original one works well, too. Take care, and God Bless! Every Good Wish, Doc Mark
Magnus - this version - the "Campers Outfit' came with the fold-up tin windshield which looks like it's folded up in the tin in one of Ian's pictures. The only thing I can't see is the plain oval tin for the priming spirit. Nice find Ian. I believe this outfit was only made in the 50's so you don't see this 'outfit' too often

Hi, Ross, and All, Interestingly enough, my Primus "Campers Outfit" is also marked "AU", 1955! Hey, we're on a roll, here!! Mine came with all the wrench, pricker, reserve cap with it's chain, folding windscreen, and as you mentioned, the plain oval spirit tin. Mine also the the stencil "L-3" painted on the lid, which makes me think it was actually used as an outfitters supply stove. It had a Primus-stamped envelope with it, too, though it's seen better days. I did try mine with both the folding windscreen, and the more modern one that Magnus mentioned, and like both of them. My only gripe with the folding one is that is "skates" around on the stove tank, if you've not careful with it. Great outfit, and one that I bought to take to the woods. Hey Doc what do you think of these young wippersnappers bragging about their stoves being made the year they came on the scene. It's us old timers who have to set them straight about this sort of thing. Now listen here you young snippets, it don't matter when your stove was made, it's what you keep under the bonnet that's important. All the dates you've had with wimmin, and all the odd fettlers you know, that's the important stuff. Not how many pints you've quaffed at the pub but the dart mates you know. Keeping in mind the date you threw three bulls to end a game, now that's important, not who has the oddest birthdate. And i'll bet a pint none of you know the height of a 55 gallon barrel with out having to go out to measure one. lance

Indeed your SB is a site prettier 'n Ian but then so is a heeping pile of road apples. Me feisty, why shucks son i aitn' even gett'n warmed up, but it's true i am feeling a bit better. Now if'n Goodwife would see her self into an apron and put some vittles on the plate for me why i'd be gett'n my strength back and i could then go to work and make some money. lance
