alas, no more 3-burners from Coleman, and the line of liquid fuel stoves is diminishing... makes one wonder how much longer Coleman will even sell a liquid fuel lantern?
I have noticed that everywhere I look is closing out their Coleman mantles. All flavors. In particular, the #21 string tie mantles. Just last year, they were several dollars for a 2 or 4 pack. Now, I am finding box upon box of them on sale for $1 each. Makes me paranoid that perhaps the era of the mantles is ending. But I find this hard to believe as propane lanterns which use the #21 size are still being sold.
Hopefully they're closing out those mantles because for the last few years they suck. This has been a fairly hot topic of late in the lantern community. Maybe they are finally getting the message......or not. Peerless mantles are head and shoulders above the quality of Coleman mantles. Mike
