AGM KAMPKOOK No.6 Manufacture Date ?

    Hello. . .. all

    Been searching and have not been able to track down much info on a KampKook No.6 I recently acquired.

    Sorry, no pictures right now due to camera "issues"

    The stove is Not Pristine (been painted) but is in REMARKABLE condition and the front tag states:
    American
    KAMPKOOK
    "the Ideal Camp Stove"
    Model 6
    Patent reissue April 4 1922

    It is complete with the attachable legs, and the original pump with the small hose with threaded end.

    Just curious what the manufacture date was.

    Seems there is endless info on other models, but NOT the #6 - was it only made a short time or not purchased by many or ??

    Well I got the camera issue fixed :thumbup:

    I was not able to run it as the pump bushing is old, and do not have any fuel right now :-({|=

    It is a real nice looking old stove !!

    I "think" production was somewhere between 1922 and the early 1930's, but it would be nice to know for sure . . . . . . . . Again any info on the No.6 would be appreciated - is it a tuff find compared to other models ?? Is that why the info is scarce ??

    What a great old stove! Did you clean it up or did you find it like that? I'd be very hesitant to re-paint it since it has so much original paint left. I have a KookRite by AGM sold by Sears from about the same time which is a knockoff of the Model 4 if I recall.

    Hello . . . . Blew a little dust off, but other then that it is how I found it :D/

    Life has still been kicking me in the teeth, and I have yet to find time to get the old girl fired up for some REAL pictures.

    I agree, it looks great, not sure if that is original paint or it was repainted - we are talking 90 some years ago . . . . . .

    thats a very nice one!!!
    Check the tank carefully for pinholes, it's made of fairly thin sheet metal, and rusts easily.

    I will look at it closer to be safe, but considering the phenomenal condition of the whole stove I am thinking it should be A - OKAY
