Looking back it seems there has only been a couple of posts of stove pics being used as desktops. Here's a screen print of mine. Maybe some other members might like to upload a screenprint of what they use as a desktop. Look forward to seeing your pics. If it assists... CTRL + Prnt Scrn Start > Programs > Accessories > Paint Edit > Paste Save As ........... Then edit the pic to CCS size format. Sorry if I'm teaching egg sucking
I use some of my backpacking photos, they look super on the monitor screen. Not sure how to post a pic like you did. Duane
I change mine quite frequently but currently have one to remind me to keep on track with the current project on CCS!
Afternon, All, I'm stuck down the mountain, waiting for a transmission repair on our Jeep, sitting at a coffee place enjoying a nice large cup of iced passion-fruit tea. Nice view of the San Gabriel Mountains, though. I've used several different desk top photos over the years, including one from our dear departed friend, Andy (Sketch), who's wildlife and snowflake photography is stunning!! Right now, I'm using a photo of the horse I rode on our 100+ mile 18th century horse scout in the mountains of Idaho, a few years ago. We had one rainy day, and this photos shows Bob, the dapple grey that I rode, and Rebel, who was very aptly named and was sold immediately after our ride. In the background you can also see a lovely rainbow, which was actually a double rainbow, but that doesn't show too well in this photo. Bob was a great old horse, and at around 14-3 hands tall, and 800 LBS, just the perfect size for me. Every time I fire up my computer, I am reminded of that exceedingly arduous, but very satisfying journey! Take care, and God Bless! Every Good Wish, Doc
Yonadav, I have exactly the same approach! I wan't to see my icons. That's why I leave black areas on the top and bottom of my desktop image, which is a shot I took of my cat last year when I was testing a new lens for the camera: I can actually see myself in that image.
Excellent image Christer! I'm the same - my usual desktop has blank bands so icons are easy to see. (not my photo!)
Thanks Ross. That's a nice photo you got there even if it isn't yours. I usually have grand nature images like that myself on the desktop. It gives me a very soothing feeling.
Yonadav, I used what I think was that same pic for my desktop a few years ago. Like you, I left it small.
