96 Advice please?

    Probably not my best purchase, however 96's are without doubt my favourite stove.
    This appears to be a version 9, the fire basket is distorted and stuck on the vapouriser. I would think is the reason it is distorted!

    There are two two dings on the tank which I intend to use the hydro and freezer method to see if this will help reduce them in size.

    I had intended to use a blow torch and some "gentle" tapping on the basket and vapouriser to part them and reform the fire basket, is this the best method for somebody of little and limited fettling experiance?

    Hi Mick

    Somewhere in the CCCS site is a post by Brian Kaw550red. He fabricated a nice little puller specifically for that problem.

    Removing the burner bell from the vaporizer. Heat the burner bell at the coller only, then quench the vaporizer only. Usually falls off If not, then give light twist with wrench while bell is still hot.
