Have one and an 8R both of which have only been lit once or twice for testing. They're waiting a good excuse to travel overseas.

    Good Morning, Arne K?re,

Great photos of your 111 series stoves! I note what appears to be a nice set of shelves, to the left of your 111's, with more stoves on them. May we have a photo, or two, of those shelves, and the other stoves, please? I also love your hardwood floors. Very nice!! One day, I would like to score one of those brand new 111's, like the one that you have not fired up. They are lovely! If we ever travel to the Scandanavian countries, I will keep my eye's open for one, that's for sure! Thanks for sharing your photos, and God Bless!

    Every Good Wish,
    Doc Mark

    Hi Doc Mark.

Here is a photo of the shelves. They contain most of my stoves, some waffle makers, frying pans and cooking sets. I have about 50-60 stoves in total, a loooong way to go

Thank you very much for your words about my floor. It is made of Scandinavian pine.

    Hi, Arne K?re,

Thanks for the outstanding photo of your stoves, sitting very nicely on your shelves!! Yeah, I love photos like that!! =D> :D

Do I see a couple of Optimus Ranger #10's in their nylon cases? I think you like that little stove, just like Dag St?le and me!! Great little stove, and it's too bad that it's not being made anymore.

Anyway, many thanks for the outstanding photo! Sorry about calling your wooden floors "hardwood"! I should have noticed that they are pine! :D No matter, because they are very lovely, and I know that Sweet Bride will really enjoy seeing them, when she returns and I show her your photo! Thanks, again, and God Bless!

    Every Good Wish,
    Doc Mark

DAMN IT, MAN, GET HOLD OF YOURSELF!!!!

There, now...... sit down. Take a few deep breathes..... yes, that's better. Now, gently, gently.....walk slowly to your balcony and go outside. Yes, that's it. Now, lean on your balcony railing and look up at the nice blue sky, AND SCREAM YOUR BLOODY HEAD OFF!!!!!! YIPPEE!! YOU'RE NOW A MEMBER OF THE 111 CLUB!!!! =D> =D> \:D/ \:D/  :D =D> \:D/ [-o< [-o< [-o< [-o<

Congratulations, Brother Spudz!!! :D :D What is the condition of your new stove, judging from the photos posted on eBay, of course? If it needs any care, once it arrives, any fettling will be straight forward, and easy!! Very well done, Lad, and again, congratulations!!!! :D :D :D :D I'll look forward to some of your fine photos, when your new baby arrives! Take care, and God Bless!

    Every Good Wish,
    Doc Mark, your 111 Brother.

From the eBay photo, it needs a good cleanup. Maybe even an Ian type paint job, but that's not something I'll be attempting this side of the distant future ! :D
Might not have all the optionals, like jets and restrictors but ... hey, there's always Base-Camp.
If it runs on my Italian Kero. then I'll be :D :D :D Happy Happy Happy !!!
Even more so 'cause it's a silent burner ... do they need a 199 (?) type windshield (the sheet of alu. with the 90 degree bend and the notches for the pan supports) when out in the big wide world ? :D
I'm sure I could coax my 10 thumbs to fettle something up.

Of course you gotta have a 111!!!
I think I might be the only one who got an unfired 111 which doesn't work!!! I think someone dropped the stove and cracked the union nut (Remember an old thread about that?) I still haven't got around to fix that. Ian suggested using a box spanner to act as a brace. After spending a long time trying to figure out...what a box spanner is...I don't think I can get one here. But that gave me an idea that I will try out real soon. I plan to use a pipe fastener instead. If successful it will look a lot neater. God bless.

As can be seen on the photoes above, some of my 111's that came nice and green from the Optimus factory, are now more or less black.

    This is why.
And I who thought that my son and his boy scouts knew how to operate a stove :?

But no big problem. It takes more than that to destroy a 111.

    Hey, Spudz,

The 111T came with a round, brass windscreen that slips over and then hangs on the side of the burner, by three small tabs. Basecamp, or A&H can help you with that, if yours is missing. You NEED that windscreen!! As for the other jets, and the Meths restrictor, those are also very available. Again, way to go, Lad!! Got to be a fine feeling, getting your very first 111T!!! Almost as much fun as the first time you..... well, let's leave that to the imagination!! ;) ;) Take care, and God Bless!

I forgot to mention that mine is the 111T and that I have tried it with Coleman fuel and Kerosene. I hope I can get around to the Alcohol this weekend but I have my doubts I have time. Anyone that seems to be ignored on ebay aways get watched.

lain, alcohol is for the stovie. Use white gas and kero for the stove, and alcohol for your self.

    Too Late Rune,

The alcohol I have is stove fuel only grade. Besides, I can think of better uses for the real alcohol.

I have had two of these stoves: A paraffin 111 and a brass tank 111T.
The 111 paraffin version had been ket in a damp garage and the case had six holes when all the rust was removed.
A did a full restoration on this and ended up passing it on to Mr Wenker and I hope that he is enjoying it. I had a incident when frying bacon with this beast when I couldn't turn the stove down because the bacon was spitting fat over anything within three feet of the stove.
I desired something that was more controllable so that was why I passed it on.

I got a 111T, which has the brass tank, the control spindle incorporating ta spanner and a pump with a 'O' ring instead of a leather cup. I don't know if any of these features of the 11T enable me to date this example.
I find it is better on petrol than on paraffin, but have never tried meths.

I have just won a 111 on you-know-where. Look at item #8817634087. I don't think it will take much to sort the burner but the case... That's what Jenolite is for!

P.S. What is the closest shade of blue to the original colour (name of colour& make of car).

I will try Plastic Padding heat proof paint on my 111C.
    Color: Nr430, black.

Think a black stove with brass tank will be nice.
