Picked this up the other day. Needs a light clean up and ready for the field. Started up and worked fine.
Very clean indeed! Should be a good workhorse for you. I picked up a 413G last year for $15 and it fired up as soon as I put CF in the tank. I completely stripped and restored it and now it's just too pretty to use!
Nice! IMHO, the entire 413 series is the best 2 burner from Coleman, as long as you have the room to pack it!
I wasn't going to say, but I paid $7.50 for her. And yes they are workhorses. Any idea when the tank color was changed to red? Forgot to mention, the Coleman #0 funnel was packed inside. It is missing the filter though.
$7.50? Did you wear a mask when you paid for it? The Funnel is worth that much! I'm not sure on the tank color, I do know the old style copper pipe type was phased out during WW2, and they went to the copper painted steel. There will be a Coleman Ace along shortly to straighten me out shortly
I actually thought it said $17.50, ( didn't have my reading glasses on). The tank is copper painted steel. I believe the era was '54 to about '60 on the E model - but the tank color ??
Near as I can tell, the red tank color was phased in during the late 1950's. I have a 425b with copper and one with red. A 426b with red and a 413e with copper color.
Nice deal! I just got a 413g (1966) this weekend for $7. A friend knew I was into Coleman stoves and picked it up for me at an estate sale. On mine, the fuel tank is red.
