Picked up a Coleman 413E at a rummage sale yesterday. Clean, and seemingly in original condition(pictures tonight).

Brought it home, and no fire. :(

It holds pressure, pushes air out the burner, but only intermittent fuel :?

    I'm thinking generator.

Definitely the pickup valve or F/A (Fuel/Air) valve and tube. The bottom gets clogged and only air will pass through the top of the tube inside the tank. Sounds like a removal and cleanup job to me.

Fuel pickup, carb cleaner works well.

Got a chance to take apart the tank today. found that the fuel pick up tube was barley attached to the retaining nut and that the flanges that hold it in place were broken AND the inner tube was broken off (probably from a poor fettle in the past).

I happened to have a spare tank from a rusted out Coleman that I stripped for parts so I took the fuel pick up assembly off the spare and replaced the broken one...Thank you Coleman for a tried and true design that encouraged parts commonality...

Anyway, while it was apart, I gave all the fuel feed/supply components a good cleaning with carb cleaner before reassembly.

Probably wont clean her up any more. Seems a shame to scub all the history and memories off, just to have a shiny stove, but that's me
