Here is my first purchased stove. When I went to the post office to pick it up, I stopped at the local thrift store and found the teapot, which is a perfect "topper" for it...which only cost $2.00. My next step is to see if it is operable. We'll see where it goes from there Any advice on "firing" this up would be greatly appreciated. I have reviewed the general instructions page on the instruction section. I don't have any questions, but that is due to my ignorance on what I should ask.
Hi Woodsy, You need two caps an inner and outer. There are pictures here on the site of the burner caps. A&H Packstoves sells them for $7 each if needed. This is not the same exact stove but has good pics of the burner https://classiccampstoves.com/threads/20602 Ray
Thank you Ray. I have been searching Basecamp and is appears they are sold out. It looks like I need a part number 4676 and a 4205/4197. I am not sure which of the latter ones I actually need, but I am still "researching. If anyone here knows, I wouldn't be opposed to doing it the "easy way.
Base camp sometimes has the exact replacement part that will be marked Primus. They also have generic caps. The A&H also will most likey be generic. Send each an email and see what they say.
Oops, the link I posted is to a 100 year old Primus that is differant then yours and mine. Sorry for any confusion. This Primus 5 link shows the caps if you scroll down a bit. https://classiccampstoves.com/threads/21076
I am still awaiting the parts from Basecamp, but I am anxious to get this stove "fired up" I am going to try to make an inner and outer cap following BernieDawgs instructions here. https://classiccampstoves.com/posts/91313 I am not sure how to post the link so if anyone has any advice, please post it and I will get to it later. I am headed to the hardware store and then my shop. Cheers, Woodsy
