bought an 8R without a burner bell on that auction site. found a burner bell and ordered it. the bell came yesterday and the stove is still in cali. at least i could get started.
Check out your local craigslist; you might be able to pick up another (stove) to keep you going until the first one arrives.
I am a student with tight budget, would not consider myself a collector because I use my stoves for trips and the number of stoves is due to the mapping of which is the best one to use. At the moment I use mostly Optimus 8R in the summer and the Enders 9061BW in the winter. With the tight budget, I would only buy specific stoves which always goes for a to high amount of money.
I hope I'm not the bearer of bad news but you'll need a flame plate for the top of that burner bell. Ray
Ahhh, so you're the one that got it. I bid on it in the beginning because I saw two bells listed shortly afterwards with a "buy it now" price. Thought it would go pretty cheap, but it went higher than I wanted to go. Good luck and let us know how it progresses. Cheers Woodsy
Ha!!! I just bought my second, and for the near future, last 123...no competition there. My first one was incomplete. I still don't have the pot and handle, but I have the remainder of the missing parts. I got the pot supports and flame spreader for next to nothing from A & H. I am going to "tear it down" sometime this next week because I want to...and it don't burn correctly; lots of yellow flame. Cheers, Woodsy
Also bidding for a stove as we speak, wish me luck. Yet tho, the auction ends in five days, cant wait.
