Hi All, I'm having difficulty finding info on a stove I ended up with about 10 years ago. A Kampkook 9. It looks like the number 3 but is marked " Model 9 " Is there some known info on this stove out there. I haven't been able to find anything on the forum. I need some advise on weather I should restore or leave as is. I'm leaning toward leaving it as is. Yesterday, I decided to see if it would fire and WOW, it worked great.

I hope this image post works. Here's the Kampkook No. 9 with brass case and the "odd" pump that came with it.

I'm not sure if I have ever seen a model 9,and wow! a brass case! I know it was available on the early 3's but have never seen an example on any collector or auction site. Judging by the lack of windscreens and type of legs I would say this was issued very soon after the patent date. As for the pump ,the design of the tube attaching to the pump/gas cap is also a sign of earlier models however, I have yet to see a pump like that. Yes these stoves often work great with a great build quality and simple design (graphite seal on the gas cap, ball bearing nrv like the old Coleman 327 lanterns, and cast iron manifold) there is nothing to go wrong. Nice stove! won't offer any advice as far as refurbishing that's entirely up to you. Would like to see some flame shots though.-Jim.
