Coleman No.2 second burner control?

I just got a Coleman No.2 stove. Its the one that looks a lot like a No.1. Is there any way to control the second burner or were they just suppose to both be run all the time? Thanks for any input. This stove will be posted in the gallery as soon as I can get my hands on my brother's camera.

Thanks for the input. My stove is the earlyer type very simalar to Idahostoveguy's early No.2. there realy does not seem to be any provision for controling the second burner. I may have to remove the burner from the stove to study it more closely.

I think (yeah, I know, there I go thinking again) that there's a valve of some sort under that second burner...Got to be!

 

There should be a lever (metal strip or rod) that protrudes from the right side of the case. See figure 13 on page 4 of the manual pointed out by Rick: Coleman No. 2 Instructions

On my early No. 2, the lever comes out right underneath the main burner control knob. (Sorry no pic of that feature in the gallery.) This was later changed to the spring control as shown in the picture above on the 2Es and 9Es and similar versions.

Yep, Sam's got it absolutely right. You use the lever on the right side of the case (bottom edge, underneath the main burner key) to light, and regulate, the second burner on a #2 Coleman. I just checked mine, to be certain, and it's the same as his. Congrats on a great stove, by the way! Take care, and God Bless!

Thanks for the responces. I'm missing the lever. I got the burner appart so I can see how the thing must have worked. It realy wasn't a lever but more of sliding control that your slid in or out to control that second burner it should'nt be to hard to make one. if anyone could take a picture of their's. It would help me make it look rite. At least on the part that shows outside the stove. Thanks

Thanks a lot thats a big help. After having seen the under side of my burner I had imagined something just like that. I'm going to get some pics of mine and post them soon. Mine is allmost the same as yours however my burners are different. thank agian
