I have been very envious of those of you fortunate enough to own a Bernie Dawg burner cap for at least a couple of years now. FINALLY, I found a used one for sale and scooped it up. It was black, sooted up a bit and showed some signs of under burning, but overall seemed to be in good, useable shape.

Anyway, I sent Bernie Dawg a note enthusiastically celebrating my acquisition and got a note back right away telling me to ship it on over and he would refurbish it (no charge).

Well, I couldn't pass up on such a generous offer, so I sent it - and this is what I received in return less than two weeks later...

It looks like new! Darn thing looks so good it is going to be a struggle forcing myself to use it.

Thanks Gary! (PS: If this sounds like a testimonial - well, I guess it is.)

Goes to show you those good people that really appreciate these stoves and the preservation of them. I like hearing a good story like this.

Good score Don. I used one of mine this last weekend on a MSR XGK for Saturday AM breakfast. I see a Omnidawg on the bay of evil. I wonder who got that and is selling? I hope Gary didn't sell that to someone and they are trying to make some money off of it instead now. He'll be pretty ticked to say the least.
