Hello Everyone, Yesterday I picked up a Primus 2090 propane stove from my parents. This stove is older than I am an in great shape. As most of you already know these old Primus stoves used the blue propane tanks which no one will refill any more. I want to change the hose for use with a modern 20# tank. I have 2 hoses. One is the orginal that came with the stove and the second is an extension that my father had made years ago. My plan was to leave the orginal hose intact and splice a new propane hose into the old extension. It is my understanding that some of these old stoves don't need a regulator and hence my question. Do I need to splice in a hose with a regulator or should a standard connection suffice? Welcome to CCS! The 3rd party image requirement is more around folk deleting the pics at some point from their hosting service in the future causing us to loose the reference. Thanks for uploading the images of the stove to the reference section using our uploader. I have a Tilley that works direct off bottle pressure that came with similar connection. I'm guessing this will be the same.
Well I guess the question then becomes, If I hook it up with a Regulator will it still work or will it not have enough pressure?
