    Hi All!
SO glad to be posting this! Wanted to share my happiness with all of you! After receiving and installing the parts I ordered from Base Camp and then obtaining the correct prescribed fuels, as well as, using the YouTube video for lighting instructions provided by my very knowledgable fellow Spirit Burners, I test fired my Svea #106.
To my utter amazement, she "roared" to life! Not sure how long it had been since the old girl had done so, but she was boiling water for Tea in no time! As gathered from the before mentioned YouTube video for lighting instructions, I watched to see the color of the flame from the burner/jet and saw that she was burning in a beautiful blue color, which meant the burner/jet, was in fine shape! So cool! I'm having a Pointer Sisters moment! "I'm so excited, I just can't hide it.....!"
Want to thank all those who helped me in gathering info and getting me hooked on these little things of beauty. Looking forward to years of pleasure and warm beverages to come.
    Thanks again,
    Steve

Best of all, I think we're agreed it's not something that ever loses its appeal.

Well, it took almost a year, as "the pickins are thin around these parts of the woods" for me to find another stove, but I've got another! FINALLY! A 1950 Primus 54. Rough and missing the Top Ring Legs and the Burner Hole Lid. Took a little bit of cleaning, but it fired right up! I know, I know, "no pics, or it didn't happen", right! Bear with me! I'm just learning how to light an old Kerosene Stove, give me time to learn how to take and post pics of my successes, ok?

FINALLY! Here's picture proof of the Stoves fired up! My newest stove, a Primus 54 is getting all polished and purtied up, like the Svea 106!
