This Høvik Verk Standard was bought last week, and according to the seller it hadn't been fired for about 40 years...

The pump washer was hard and dry, but I put in another one from my HV with a silent burner. It held the pressure fine and I decided to test it.

As you can see in the first picture the flame was all green to start with, but as it got warm the flame went bluer. A little yellow at the top, but the pattern was fine!

The stove was fine for cooking, but please don't comment on the casserole...

Hi roat, fine casserole erhm stove I mean!
I love the green flames, had these on a few stoves myself but sadly it goes away after a while... She performs beautifully after her 40 years long "beauty sleep" :D/  .

    All the best,

A while back I showed my father the new Colman cooker I had purchased, he said wait and produced a very old looking stove of his own, it runs on metho and has no pump but when he turned it on it lit first go! Seems it had been sitting there for some 40 years never touched and yet it still worked!
Don't know the type but will look it up if ya like.
