I was surprised to see that four-head kero burners are still being manufactured. No idea of quality, but perhaps for the medical industry they are not bad. We may not need them, but interesting to see anyway. piper http://www.ascomedical.com/accessories-autoclaves-sterilizers.html
That is very interesting Piper. Has anyone asked the cost of them yet? This may be a collector's item in about 80 years! Or next month if they go out of business. Would be nice to see one and what the quality is like. Nice post mate - Steve.
Hi Piper, I notice it's an Indian company. Sounds ideal for sterilization and similar medical applications when roving medical teams visit remote villages, or indeed as back up in locations where the power supply might not be as reliable as we enjoy (NJ excepted at this point). Cheers, Graham
The link only took me to the home page but I see the single burner and four-burner stoves appear under 'Products - Autoclaves and Sterilisers'. I appreciate the thinking in describing what we'd call the air screw described as the 'flame control knob', which of course describes what it's capable of in conjuction with the pump if used delicately and not just for shutting down. I'll skip the stoves for now, but their Van der Graaf generators promise hours of amusement. John
"I'll skip the stoves for now, but their Van der Graaf generators promise hours of amusement. " Gee, wonder if there is a Van de Graaf Generator forum....and if any of our wives would let us collect them... piper
