    Hi All,
I was given this little Optimus 96 today, by an elderly friend who was moving house. She said she bought it new well over 50 years ago, and that it had little use before being stored away.
It is in lovely condition, and is complete with the original tin, spanner and a packet of spares.
I only had to oil the pump washer, and it fired up with a lovely blue flame. I even got a little spirit stove to go with it, as a bonus.

    Greetings, kayhannah,

Lovely little Optimus 96 you received! What a nice gift from your elderly friend! The flame shots look just right, and your little stove is a gem, and will serve you very well, indeed! Thanks for sharing it with us, and welcome to CCS! Enjoy your "new" 96, and God Bless!

    Every Good Wish,
    Doc

    Hi Doc,
Thank you for your kind words and the welcome. Yes, I too am pleased with the flame shot, taken while the stove was still cold. I think I will keep this one as it is, it would be a shame to polish it.
    Take care Doc
    regards
    Tom

Wonderful gift and it never fails to amaze me when a classic fires up after sitting unused for years.
