Though I put the original post in the Stove Reference Gallery here Primus 702 - 1949 I thought some of the repair techniques I used might be handy for someone to pick up browsing this column.

Hi John brilliant work as all ways,i am over immpressed with the results, of your repairs to the spirit cup and pump cap hole.
Looking at the pics, the repair to the spirit cup is so neat it hardly notices, and the repair to the pump cap is outstanding, i can not see any silbraze work.
Once again John well done on your brilliant work and great tutorial

Pretty sure it's original, Nick. Cast iron and weighs accordingly.

I saw an array of different sizes of those burner rings in a photo with one of Iani's fleet of 702's, useful to equip the single and multiple rocket stoves stacked in the 'whoppers' section of Stove Central warehouse.

Neat jobs, but hopefully there are no Ford Focuses down that way with blowing exhausts.
