Here are some pictures of my "new" stove, a beautiful Hipólito No 0. The stove is almost complete, with needle cleaners, tool, user manual and the fabulous tin box. Extraordinary graphics, and in a good condition too! Sadly it misses the trivet... The stove is hardly used, and with a new leather pump cup it burnt with a clear blue flame at once. Enjoy!
Hi May be it didn't have a trivet to begin with. some of the small one's don't have it. Does it fit in the box? A very nice stove. Kero rates them very high. Yours
Hi roat excelent stove, superbly made and i all so love the graphics on there tins. The tank lettering and logos are realy nice on these, well done there roat you have a brilliant outfit
Hi SVEA121, Yes, the Hipolito No. 0 came with a trivet, and very nice they are too. A look in the SRG will show you it's design, different to other trivets, and therefore also how it would fit in the box. Cheers, Graham.
Thanks all! Indeed Brian, tank lettering is very nice. I must say of all my different stoves the Hipólito is the best made when it comes to engraving and lettering. If anyone have an extra trivet.... Don't hesitate to send me a PM....
Hi roat i agree, the tanks on the Hipolito stove, are realy nice infact one of the best,Svea are my favourite with there engraving
Roat beautiful find indeed. I really love that tin with the scouts images on it. Surprising what good condition the tin is in as well. That is my next quest to the stove gods is to find my nice folding stove with a decent tin.
What a fantastic box. Looks like brand new. I love my Hipolito but would come second after my Radius 21. Anyway wish you luck finding a trivet.
G,,day nice. I purchased mine new in about 1980 or 81 in Portugal. Lovely little stove. Yes they definitely had a trivet. I have lost my meths bottle that it came with. Also a kind person on here informed me about the way the pump cap unscrews and acts as a cap for the fount. Cheers kerry
Hi Graham you were right sir and a cute trivet too. As far as engraving I tend to agree with Svea first and Hipolito second. It seems that Svea took pride in what they made. They put their name on the tank cover and on the pump screw nut. They also named their stoves "the king of stoves". But I like the sea horse on Hipolito very much. By the way does anyone know what "Fogao" means in Portugese? No funy remarks please. Daryoush
Hi Daryoush, Fogao in Portugese means..... fogao (sorry, just couldn't resist despite your request). But in English, it means Stove! In Californian, who the heck knows - you're a funny lot out there Cheers, Graham.
Hi Graham Thanks for your reply. Made me laugh, thanks. I type in a rush and make mistakes. Lots of nice people in California. Hope you'll visit one day. A very nice city. Yours Daryoush
Hi Daryoush, I've never been to Burbank. But been to SF too many times to count. I like the general weirdness of California compared to the rest of the US As my favourite American joke goes: If all the Californians were laid end to end...... .......nobody would be surprised! Cheers, Graham.
Hi Graham SF is very nice. Me and the missus (as it is said on ccs) always go there for short vacations. Love it's china town. But LA is something else. Lovely people you meet every day. Burbank is a twenty minute ride on fwy 5 north of downtown LA. If you are ever in LA I'll be glad to take you out for a drink and show you around. Yours Daryoush
