    Hi folks,
I took a bicycle ride along part of the Thames river in London last week. I rode from Greenwich to the Dartford Crossing, about 15 miles one way. At sunny Erith I had a picnic with a US Army MRE meal and a cup of tea. All heated nicely on my "Cookie Picnic" stove. It burns meths. Here are two photos.
    Regards,
    Alan :)

Great pics, Alan. Is that a springy saddle you've got there?

    Hi Paul and Ian,
My saddle has some sort of springing and a gel-pad cover. Works OK. I like riding along the river as it is flat!
    What memories are those Ian?
    Regards,
    Alan

I do love living by the river and all those places I know well. Crak cocaine is such a bargain in poplar ;)
Did you drive Ian or on a boat?
    Regards,
    Alan

I sprayed it up as it was rusty.
It's been up the shed for the last 30 odd years.

Wifey and I used to brew tea on it back in the days before we were married.
We'd bought the house before we were wed and used to meet here and do the decorating (amoungst other things) ;)
Back in them days if a house was unoccupied the electricity and gas were cut off so it came in very handy.
We used a Svea No5 to cook bacon and eggs on as well.
    Happy days.

    Good Man Alan

I too like a bit of a tootle coupled with a stop for tea.

Haven't yet devised a decent way to fit a paraffin stove to a bike frame but I'm working on it - I'm aware of the Terry clips idea, but think they are just a little plug-ugly !

If you have plenty of bottle cages then modern multifuels are a piece of cake, but I find more people stop for a chat when they hear a roarer and see brass !

    Cheers

Could be possible, but it would get a fair bit of shaking on a bike frame, would need to devise a bit of insulation - oh no something else to think about ! ;)
