start of growing collection

    Hi guys...
    new to this site and also quite new to collecting and restoring stoves only been doing this for a couple of months or so and im loving it :thumbup:
    Just like to say i think this site is excelent and im seeing and learning new thing every time i log in and thoght id start my first post with a few pics of my growing collection

    Hi BlueFlame85 welcome aboard CCS,and a very nice selection of half pint'ers.you have now been bitten by the bug.
    You have done a great job on your stoves,and it wont be long before you have a great collection, and I wont be surprised if you move on to lantern's and blowlamps lol

    Yes thanks brian. (Mr optimus ' and yes i am already on that bus now. I have a tilley x246 guardsman & a x246 A and couple blow lamps :oops: lol :thumbup:

    Yes I tried a backdrop to bring the best out of the stoves' but instead the stoves brought out the best in backdrop. And thank you.

    What do you use to clean up brass ?
    What type of fuel do you use ?
    I have one similar and can't get it to light .
    Any help ?

    All the above stoves were designed to run on paraffin (kerosene).

    However, one of the stoves seem to be missing its priming cup.

    The priming cup is filled with meths (alcohol) and lit to heat up the burner before pumping paraffin into the burner. The paraffin vapourises at the burner and can then be ignited.

    Base-Camp can supply replacement spirit cups - about £7.50 including post for a No.96 stove (UK - international post would be more).
