1937 Primus 71 E

I was happy enough to find this lovely little thing a couple of days ago. All it needed was some gentle cleaning, and now it looks pretty good I might say.

What I can understand, it is from 1937 based of the stamp underneath (AB).

I will not use it, it will stay in this condition for as long as I'm around.

 

That's a great bit of kit, even in todays world, simple, compact, relatively light.

That's a very nice Primus 71! Most I've seen have a rusted case and yours looks like it will stay in this condition 4-ever 8)

I'm very curious to know what the material of the case is, f.i. steel or aluminum/aluminium. Could you please relieve me of my curiosity and tell what the material of the case and pot is?

Obviously Dutch_Peter, it is my honor to satisfy your curiosity in the matter.

The lid and pot is both aluminum, the housing for the burner is also aluminum.
The windshield I think is aluminum, but for some reason it is much shinier than the other parts. The pot stand peg's are made ​​of iron.
